What is a Meet-n-Greet?

A Meet-n-Greet is a weekly event that allows potential adopters to meet rescue Weims that are available for adoption. It is also a great way to meet Mile High Weimaraner Club members and MHWC Rescue volunteers.

Forsberg/Iron Springs Dog Park
Saturday, August 28th

Join us to meet some Weims looking for new homes. We will be at the Forsberg/Iron Springs Dog Park in Lakewood from 9:00 to 10:00am

There are two fenced areas for dogs,a dog-level water fountain,walking paths/trails, pavilions, some Xeriscaping, and a walkway under Alameda to the Green Mountain open space.
The views are spectacular!

MEET-N-GREET: Hound Hill Saturday, July 31st
From 10am-11am, just look for the gray dogs and you will find us!

Hound Hill has plenty of space for your dog to run around. There are bags, water, and trash cans. There is no shade. But, it is fenced in! It is perfect dog park for a dog who loves to run and chase!
Location: 9651 S. Quebec Highlands Ranch, CO

Hound Hill is located just south of Quebec/University/Lincoln intersection. The dog park is situated on a gently sloping terrain, South of the Post Office and next to soccer fields, baseball field and a playground - the complex is called Highland Heritage Regional Park. MEET-N-GREET: PetCo Meet-n-Greet - Saturday August 21st from 10AM-1PM
Meet our amazing MHWR volunteers! We are looking for foster families and even more volunteers.
Petco...it's where the weims go!
We will be at PetCo in Boulder from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Join us August 7th and 8th from 10-4 Saturday and 10-3 on Sunday!
We will be at the "Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center" where will have adoptable loving Weims to meet.

FUN RUN and MEET-N-GREET:
Sunday, September 12th 9:00am

Pull out your running shoes, shore up Fido’s collar and prepare your dogs (human and canine) to run with our pack as dog lovers from Denver to Boulder and all points in between gather to run in the K-9’s Against Cancer 5K Fun Run on Sunday, September 12th in Stapleton’s Central Park.
Proceeds from the 5K and One-mile Fun Run/Walk will equally benefit The Denver Metropolitan Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Colorado State University’s Animal Cancer Center and The Bow Wow Buddies Foundation – organizations dedicated to helping find cures for human and canine cancer. Kicks off at 9:00am with the start of the 5K race/walk followed by the one-mile walk at 9:30am.

GARAGE SALE FUNDRAISER:
Saturday, July 31st from 7:00am-12:00pm
All the money that is raised will go directly to MHWR!

Support Mile High Weimaraner Rescue by shopping for... new treasures, purchasing items from our bake sale, having some cold tasty drinks, or just stopping by to say hi to some very loving and appreciative Weims!! All are welcome, invite friends and family!!

What are Our Weim Events and Happenings ?

These commemorative bottles are on sale for only $20 each. Both wines were made at the Bonacquisti Winery in Colorado.

Colorado Sauvignon Blanc
A blend of 75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Orange Muscat, you'll find this wine a thirst quenching favorite. Aromas of melon and citrus that is crisp and clean across the palate. Pair with ceviche or Salami & Tomatoes. Appelation: Colorado Alcohol 13.5%

Merlot, Syrah, Zin Blend
This wine is a new blend. It's 50% Merlot, 20% Syrah and 30% Zin. Appelation: Colorado Alcohol 14.5%
