What is a Meet-n-Greet?
A Meet-n-Greet is an event that allows potential adopters to meet dogs available for adoption.
It is also a great way to meet Mile High Weimaraner Club members and their dogs as well as Weimaraner
Rescue volunteers. If you have a Weimaraner and want to have some play time with other Weims and chat
with Weim owners and adopters, the Meet-n-Greet is the perfect place to do that. We always seem to
draw attention. Everyone wants to know if we are having a party or why there are so many gray dogs
running around. The Meet-n-Greet also allows the rescue volunteers a chance to spread the word about
rescue and to educate people about the breed. So, Meet-n-Greets are not just for people looking to
adopt a Weimaraner - they are a way for Weim owners to get out and mingle with a group of people who
have the same interests - gray dogs! So, if you see a Meet-n-Greet scheduled at a dog park, bring your
dog down and get them some exercise and help spread the word about our Gray friends.

What are Our Weimaraner Products?
They are great ways to help the Weims in need in Colorado and promote the breed and rescue. We currently
have a variety of products available for sale via CafePress.com. We have our 2007 Calendar, T-shirts,
sweatshirts, license plate frames, and many other items all with a variety of logos and events. A portion
of the sales go to help MHWR. By wearing these items, you help to promote rescue and get people to
think rescue first.
|
What are Our Fundraising Events?
They are great ways to help the Weims in need in Colorado. Local companies have offered to provide
funds to MHWR with sales of their products.

Park Road. Take a right on Roxborough Park Road which leads directly into Chatfield State Park.
IMPORTANT!!!
We want you to PARK in the Owl Glen parking area. It is the
first parking area as you come down from the dam. You can WALK through the dog park to the Cottonwood
Grove area OR we will have a shuttle service thanks to one Chevy Tahoe (can fit four Weims and
four humans each trip) between 11:00-11:30. We will meet at the Cottonwood Grove picnic area - see this
map
to see the area. It is at the far end of the dog training area.
In past years, people were given tickets for parking on the road inside the park. You can only park in a parking
lot. We are recommending car pooling into the park as well. Admission to the PARK (not WeimFest) is
$6.00 for the day or $55.00 for an annual pass good to all Colorado State Parks. As always, donations towards
the cake, refreshments, and dog treats are welcome.
Due to popular demand, we will be selling items from WeimFeinery
like we did last year.
